This limited edition unauthorized box set was issued in 1991, and as with the Sgt. Pepper CD box set, was issued to "commemorate the 25th anniversary of the original release." The pressing was limited to 500 copies and was numbered with a silver sticker on the rear of the box. Included inside was a stereo pressing of the disc with a color reproduction of the butcher cover on the front, and the "slanted writing" alternate cover on the inside; a 45 rpm vinyl single with a John Lennon interview about the Butcher album; liner notes on the tracks plus complete lyrics; a miniature reproduction of the Capitol recall letter, and a "small trunk cover" button. Manufactured in the Pacific Northwest (USA), this CD box is now impossible to find and sells for over $250.00.
