Butcher Cover
Sales Presenter Slick |
Shown here, for the first time ever, is a Sales Presenter copy of the Butcher cover sleeve. It is similiar to, but trimmed larger than the LP sleeve in order to punch the holes for inclusion in the Sales Presenter.
This slick was acquired by Geoff Milne, who was in charge of the licensed labels division of London Records in England. On a business trip to New York he met some business acquaintances, one of which had been a sales for rep at Capitol in 1966. Explaining that he had an employee in England
who was a "mad Beatles fan", he gave the sleeve to Mr. Milne who brought it back for his employee, who has kept it to this day. So far, it is the only know copy to surface.
